The world congress in Bologna from the 9^th till the 11^th October 2009

My experience report

In summary, I consider my performance in Bologna as a peak in my exciting life with the "permanent needle" up to today....

The ICMART 2001 in Berlin was certainly important, because it was the first publication ever about the discovery of the implant acupuncture. My appearance at the ear-acupuncture world congress 2006 in Lyon was still taken with some skepticism. At that time I had not yet gone through so many ordeals with my invention, nor did I speak English as fluently as I do now, and therefore I had to be content with half a victory.

Now in Bologna there was a large participation of the most important ear acupuncturists in the world and great interest was expressed. Already on the eve of my presentation, my discovery was topic of discussion during the breaks. However, still with much skepticism. As people naturally react to a complete new invention or knowledge. Just consider how many years it took until it was generally accepted that the earth moves around the sun and not vice versa. After we (Alfredo, my scientific coworker, and I) had processed the comments of colleagues; we completed the presentation with images from the current conventional medicine on the night before the presentation. This in order to illustrate which procedures Parkinson´s patients can be spared from. I also noticed that as a brain researcher, I have a very special recognition profile which I felt I needed to mention in the lecture. I have to recognize that this gave some degree of excitement. Many presenters, who had long been established there, took a long time to present. I had 15 minutes. I explained that I discovered and developed a new type of acupuncture and how I came about it by accident. One could literally feel the tension.

After my lecture, they erupted into a prolonged discussion. The topics were: "We need to get more studies done as soon as possible"."We need to help humanity" ,"He must also write a book! So everybody can learn it." etc. They spoke to me right from the soul... My answers were again and again" I´m working on it" "We are preparing it"

During the break, I just heard: "Congratulations!" and everyone waved to me.

Once again I underwent a "baptism of fire". How many I will still have to undergo with my new discovery, I do not know. But for Galileo Galilei it sure wasn´t any easier. This was definitely a big step forward.

Discovery of Implant Acupunture - Consideration of Treatment

Under the suspicion of a substantially stronger effect and substantially decreased side effect 50 patients were compared by implantation of ASP needles and me to customary use of these needles with ear acupuncture with 40 patients. Besides, the needle which remains, otherwise, with her head beyond the skin layer with a dentist's swab was brought by postpressure in the acupuncture point under the skin. The skin shut after 1-2 days. From 50 treated test persons 49 had observed a more intensive remedial effect about 3-4 weeks up to now. With the Chi + test the difference was evaluated statistically. On the first day of the treatment no significant differences arose. While the effect of the customary acupuncture, until aud an exception (2.1%), from 40 patients faded away within 7 days, remained the effect of the implant acupuncture constant and to 100%. There were side effects, how Rau's traps of the needles and pains with touch with the customary method of 80%. With the Impantat acupuncture only one patient 3 days complained about touch delicacy. 48 patients had not noted the implanted needle any more. As a contraindication allergy on the needle material must be seen. This appeared in 1 of 50 cases. A relative contraindication was found in a case by Adipositas with which the patient with "can hardly eat" not identified. The comparison of both forms of treatment shows covered at effect and side effect the superiority of the implant acupuncture with a confidence level from p <to 0.01%.
